In the early evening of Valentine's Day of 2023, tragedy struck in Montgomery, Alabama, when 22-year-old Calvin Walker, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Mt. Meigs Road. Montgomery police and fire medics were dispatched to the scene following a report of a person being shot.
Upon their arrival, first responders discovered Calvin Walker with a fatal gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
