In the early morning hours of July 4, 2022, a dispute in the 500 block of West Main Street in Prichard, Alabama, turned deadly, claiming the life of 38-year-old Cleavland L. Goodwin. An African American male, Goodwin was found deceased at the scene by Prichard Police officers who responded to the incident between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. He had been fatally shot.
