In the spring of 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon quiet in a Bessemer, Alabama neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 23-year-old Johnnae Shy'Ann Fuller. A Black female, Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene on April 28, 2022, in the 1800 block of Berkley Avenue.
