Jarez Cytril Ricks, a 31-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on Friday, April 15, 2022, in Valley, Alabama. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded as a shooting, marking a violent end to the day.
Responding to a call about a person shot, Valley police officers arrived at the scene to find Ricks with a serious gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to EAMC-Lanier Memorial Hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
