In the predawn hours of a Tuesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the life of 20-year-old Maurice Jones McCollum was tragically cut short. On November 2, 2021, police responded to reports of a shooting on 11th Court shortly after midnight. Upon their arrival, they discovered McCollum suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, but unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries.
