In the fading daylight of an October evening in Mobile, Alabama, a sequence of events unfolded that would end a life and lead to a swift arrest. On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at around 7:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm in the vicinity of Michigan Avenue and Melrose Street. Responding to the reports, Mobile Police officers were dispatched to the area. Their investigation led them to the 1200 block of Rev. A.T. Days Street, where a car had crashed into a church.
