In the spring of 2021, the life of 29-year-old George Wheeler was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. On the evening of Wednesday, April 14, 2021, police and fire medics were called to the 3700 block of Oakleigh Road after reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Wheeler with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
