On the night of April 10, 2021, 18-year-old Orlando Keith Williams Jr. was fatally shot in a second-floor hallway of the Comfort Inn on Academy Lane in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident, which unfolded just after 11 p.m., is reported to have occurred during a gambling session inside one of the hotel rooms. When Bessemer Police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Williams, who was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
