On July 22, 2020, the body of 54-year-old David James McCluskey was discovered on the banks of the Tennessee River near Bluff City Landing in Somerville, Alabama. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, where McCluskey was found with a gunshot wound, prompting an immediate homicide investigation.
