On a summer evening in Dothan, Alabama, the life of Akheem Benjamin Hall, a 27-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On June 9, 2019, police responded to a report of a firearm assault in the 100 block of Naomi Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Hall lying deceased in the yard, having been shot twice in the forearm and upper back.
