On a Tuesday evening in Selma, Alabama, the life of Michael Stone, a 32-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. On January 9, 2018, at approximately 6:30 PM, law enforcement responded to a call on the 2500 block of Summerfield Road. There, they discovered Stone, who had been shot multiple times with a handgun. He had sustained four to five gunshot wounds. Originally a resident of California, what brought Stone to Selma is not publicly known.
