Dortez Travon Jamal Major, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on November 26, 2017, in Prichard, Alabama. Known as 'T-Juvie,' Major was driving a vehicle near the intersection of Thomas and Magee Streets with his family when the incident occurred. In the car with him were his four-year-old son, Dortez Major Jr., his pregnant girlfriend, Breantay Coleman, and her infant child. An assailant opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in Major's death.
