On the evening of September 6, 2017, the life of 15-year-old Terrius Hilliard, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Young Hilliard was in the 700 block of 22nd Street North when gunfire erupted, leaving him with fatal wounds. When Birmingham police officers arrived at the scene, they found the young man suffering from the gunshot injuries. Despite the immediate response from emergency medical services, his life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead.
