In the summer of 2016, the life of 21-year-old Calvin Foster was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of August 9th, Foster, a Black/African American male, was discovered outside the Oaks at Springville Apartments on Earline Circle in the northeastern part of the city. He was found lying on his stomach, bleeding from a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Emergency services were called to the scene around 5 p.m., but Foster was pronounced dead shortly after.
