In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27, 2014, a violent intrusion shattered the peace at the Rondo Apartments on Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, Alabama. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:26 a.m., police officers discovered a grim scene. Inside one of the apartments, they found 44-year-old Ronnie Minefield, who had been fatally shot. A second victim, a 27-year-old female, was also suffering from a gunshot wound.
