A quiet Thursday morning in the Birmingham suburb of Fultondale was shattered by a tragic and violent outburst that left one man dead and two others wounded. David Dewayne Martin, a 44-year-old male, was fatally shot on May 28, 2009, in a burst of gunfire that erupted in the Roebuck Plaza area. The incident, which began outside a methadone clinic, set off a frantic police chase that ended with the gunman taking his own life.
