On May 5, 2009, 46-year-old Barbara Allen Hill, a female resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was found deceased in her home on the 400 block of West Smithfield Terrace. She had sustained fatal gunshot wounds in an incident that was reported as a domestic assault. A graduate of West End High School in 1981, Barbara was actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Faulkner University and was employed as a medical assistant at Southview Medical Group, St. Vincent's Hospital.
