In the early morning hours of June 12, 2017, the life of 19-year-old Dashia LaShay Abrams was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a call just before 4:00 a.m. about a man slumped over the wheel of a car in an apartment parking lot on Villa Rica Court, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies made a grim discovery. Inside the vehicle, they found Ms. Abrams and a male companion, both of whom had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
