In the early hours of New Year's Day 2007, the life of 20-year-old Wyteria Randnitta Falconer Rogers, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 2:15 a.m., she was discovered in her car on the 200 block of 93rd Street North, having been fatally shot. This violent act marked the first homicide of the year in the city.
