Rashod Faison, a 15-year-old Black male from New Castle, Delaware, was killed on the evening of February 10, 2023, after gunfire brought police to the Hampton Green Townhouses community. At about 5:58 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police and nearby agencies responded to the unit block of Deen Street for a reported shooting. Inside a residence, they found Rashod suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He died from those injuries.
