On a Wednesday evening in New Haven, Connecticut, tragedy struck. Ramon Terelle Yates, a 25-year-old Black / African American male, was found with gunshot wounds on Dixwell Avenue, near the intersection with West Hazel Street. The call came in to police at 6:35 p.m. on March 15, 2023. Emergency services rushed him to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of his critical injuries.
