On September 1, 2024, a 16-year-old teenager named Martavious Carter was found shot to death in Bradenton, Florida. The incident occurred near the Palma Sola Causeway early Saturday morning.
The Bradenton Police Department received a report of gunshots in the 8600 block of Manatee Avenue W just after 1 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Martavious Carter dead at the scene.
According to the investigation, detectives believe that Carter was picked up at a location in Manatee County earlier in the evening and then driven to the secluded area of the causeway, where the shooting took place.
The Bradenton Police Department and the Manatee County Sheriff's Office Homicide Task Force are currently investigating the incident.
