Lowell Gregory "Lo" Grissom Jr., a 37-year-old man from Pasadena, California, was fatally shot in the early hours of May 7, 2023, in Miami Beach, Florida. Grissom, known by his stage names Young Lo and Everybody Knows Lo, was a rapper and talent scout for Makasound Records. He had also collaborated with other artists, including the well-known singer Chris Brown.
The shooting occurred inside the Gala Miami nightclub, located at 235 23rd St. in the South Beach area.
The incident happened just before 4 a.m. when Grissom and two women were hit by gunfire. All three victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where Grissom was pronounced dead.
