In what was described as a devastating act of domestic violence, Courtney Reese, a 32-year-old mother of four, was shot and killed in southeast Atlanta on the evening of August 20, 2024. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Springside and Macon drives in the Glenrose Heights neighborhood. When Atlanta police officers arrived at the scene, they found Reese with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
