In the late hours of Memorial Day, May 27, 2024, the life of 20-year-old Cameron Manago, a Black male from Athens, Georgia, was tragically cut short. The fatal incident unfolded at approximately 10:25 p.m. at the Rolling Ridge Apartments. Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a call of a shooting and, upon arrival, discovered Manago with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
