In the early hours of May 22, 2024, a quiet morning in the Fairways at Durham Lakes subdivision in Fairburn, Georgia, was shattered by an act of violence. Jameel Dickerson, a 24-year-old Black male, was discovered shot to death inside a sedan on Castle Rock. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. and found Dickerson in the front seat of the vehicle.
