On the evening of Sunday, March 31, 2024, 33-year-old Jamal Phillips was fatally shot in what his family believes was a senseless act of violence in northwest Atlanta, Georgia. The shooting, which also left a teenage girl wounded, occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Buy Low Super Market on James Jackson Parkway.
