In the autumn of 2023, a dispute at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex tragically cut short the life of 23-year-old Jihadd Mwaniki. The young man was at the Park at Castleton Apartments on Bent Creek Way on the evening of October 22nd when an argument with another man escalated with deadly finality. Gunshots rang out, and Mwaniki was struck. He was urgently transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
