In the early morning hours of June 17, 2023, the life of 42-year-old James Brinson, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Augusta, Georgia. Responding to a call of a shooting at approximately 8:06 a.m., deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office arrived at the 2800 block of Lumpkin Road to find Brinson in the yard of a residence, having sustained at least one gunshot wound.
