In the early morning hours of May 5, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Kaneza Rikial Owens was tragically cut short in a violent encounter within her own home at the Green Meadows Apartments on Log Cabin Drive in Macon, Georgia. Bibb County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to her residence shortly before 4 a.m. in response to a domestic dispute. As they arrived, a single gunshot rang out from inside the apartment.
