In the early morning hours of April 20, 2023, Korri Jackson, a 26-year-old Black man and U.S. Army veteran, was killed in what appeared to be a random act of violence in Atlanta, Georgia. Jackson had been working two jobs to realize his dreams and was taking a nap in his work van between shifts when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at the One Riverside West townhouse community on Main Street in northwest Atlanta.
