In the late hours of a Friday night in Macon, Georgia, on January 20, 2023, the life of 39-year-old Waymond Danzy came to a violent end. Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a person shot at the Walnut Hill Apartments on Merriwood Drive just after 11:30 p.m. Inside one of the apartments, they discovered Danzy, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
