In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Macon, Georgia, the quiet of Lawton Road was shattered by the sound of gunfire. It was June 20, 2023, when deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 3500 block of the street around 1:42 a.m. following a report of shots fired and a person down.
