On June 20, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Macon, Georgia, resulting in the death of 28-year-old Christopher Dwayne Curry Jr. The incident took place in the 3500 block of Lawton Avenue, where deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office were called just before 1:45 a.m. in response to reports of shots fired and a person down on the street.
