On August 28, 2024, the body of 19-year-old Dallas Lewis of New Iberia, Louisiana, was found in the front yard of a residence on Gerald James Drive in Iberia Parish. The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the scene after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area.
