In the closing days of 2023, the life of Ricky Bernard Jr., a 30-year-old male from Lafayette, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Saturday, December 30th, Bernard Jr. was fatally shot in an incident that would become known as the Ancelet Street homicide.
