In May of 2023, the community of Minden, Louisiana, was shaken by the discovery of the body of 26-year-old Daniel M. Merritt. A young man known to his family as Madison, he was described as a 'mama's boy' who was in daily contact with his mother. When she didn't hear from him one Saturday, concern grew, and he was reported missing the following Tuesday. The search for Daniel came to a tragic end on Sunday, May 7, 2023, when his remains were found buried in a wooded area off Auction Barn Road.
