On March 14, 2024, 17-year-old Justin Carmony was fatally shot in Toledo, Ohio. The incident occurred late at night on Maher Street, where police discovered Carmony and a second victim, 22-year-old Damien Barr, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported them to a local hospital; however, Carmony succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Lucas County Coroner's Office later confirmed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and ruled it a homicide.
