On August 15, 2023, at approximately 7:07 p.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a call in the 4600 block of Refugee Road, where they discovered 19-year-old Jaijuan Jenkins suffering from gunshot wounds inside a residence. Despite prompt medical attention, Jenkins was pronounced dead at 7:17 p.m.
Following an investigation, authorities identified 18-year-old Jaylon Wilson as a suspect in Jenkins' death. Wilson was subsequently arrested out of state and charged with murder. Details
