On June 27, 2005, Phillip Brian Sweat was tragically murdered in Gainesville, Florida. That afternoon, Sweat called 911 to report that he had been stabbed outside his home, located near Archer Road in a secluded area at 4024 SW 38th Street. Despite his injuries, he managed to describe his attacker as a Black male wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt. Unfortunately, Sweat lost consciousness during the call and later died from his wounds.
