In the early evening of September 27, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in a parking lot on Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill, Maryland. When police officers arrived at the scene around 7:40 p.m., they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the men, 30-year-old Daryl McCall of District Heights, was found with life-threatening injuries.
