In the early morning hours of September 21, 2024, tragedy struck in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights, Maryland, when 31-year-old Duane Glenn of District Heights was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 1:05 a.m. in the 400 block of Xenia Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Glenn outside. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.
