On the night of March 28, 2024, in Hyattsville, Maryland, 33-year-old Cesar Benitez, a resident of Chantilly, Virginia, was fatally shot. Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 10:25 p.m. in the 6500 block of Ager Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered Benitez outside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
