In the late afternoon of May 15, 2024, a dispute between two acquaintances in Adelphi, Maryland, escalated to a fatal conclusion. Twenty-year-old Kevin Moscoso-Lopez was shot and killed during the argument. Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Erie Street at approximately 3:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Moscoso-Lopez outside, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
