In the early morning hours of June 22, 2023, violence erupted on the 4000 block of Warner Avenue in an unincorporated area of Hyattsville, Maryland, leaving 28-year-old Rodney Wells, a male resident of Hyattsville, fatally wounded. Responding to a call at approximately 12:30 a.m., Prince George's County Police officers discovered two men outside, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
