On the evening of August 25, 2021, in Landover, Maryland, a dispute escalated into a fatal act of violence that claimed the life of 28-year-old Julian Kirkland of District Heights. The young man was shot in the 2600 block of Kent Village Drive at approximately 8:10 p.m. When officers from the Prince George's County Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Kirkland outside, suffering from a gunshot wound.
