On March 24, 2023, at approximately 5:06 p.m., Eastern District officers of the Baltimore Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and ShotSpotter alerts in the 3000 block of East Preston Street in Baltimore's Berea neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Timothy Walker Jr. suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest.
