In the early afternoon of March 5, 2023, the life of Tavone Calvin Cotten, a 47-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. Baltimore County Police responded to a call for an assault in the 4100 block of Wilkens Avenue in the Arbutus area. Upon their arrival at approximately 12:15 p.m., they discovered Mr. Cotten suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
