In the early morning hours of January 27, 2023, tragedy struck in the Northwest District of Baltimore. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 12:42 a.m., police officers arrived at the 3900 block of Belvieu Avenue to a grim scene. There, they found 23-year-old Brandon Berry suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel were called to the location, but despite their efforts, the young Black man was pronounced dead at the scene.
