In the winter of 2023, the life of 15-year-old La’Ron Henderson was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. A student at Forest Park High School, the young Black male was fatally shot in an alley on January 25th, just a short distance from his school in the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. The incident occurred in the afternoon, less than an hour after classes had been dismissed for the day.
