On August 31, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Hampton police responded to reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Marion Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Christopher Andra Vinson suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
